Paid Media Manager

Remote - Full Time

The Paid Media Manager will be responsible for ensuring Primal Pet Food’s advertising budget is effectively deployed to drive overall brand growth and performance across key sales channels. This role will lead media planning, performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure paid media efforts are cohesive and aligned with overall business objectives.

We’re looking for a data-driven marketer with deep expertise in paid media strategy, execution, and optimization. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and has a proven track record of delivering measurable business outcomes across a breadth of advertising channels.


This role reports to the Director, Performance Marketing.
 

Responsibilities

  • Manage Primal’s paid media budget across channels, ensuring monthly spend is aligned with strategic goals and business needs.
  • Develop and maintain a measurement framework with clear objectives and KPIs by channel and campaign.
  • Partner with sales channel leads to understand business trends and ensure media investments support channel-specific growth.
  • Analyze creative performance across platforms and recommend testing strategies to optimize engagement and conversion.
  • Collaborate with internal and external ad buying teams to align on campaign execution, including budgets, creative flighting, landing pages, and timelines.
  • Monitor media performance and provide actionable insights to improve ROI and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to inform media strategy and innovation.
  • Oversee and provide optimization recommendations for ECommerce retail media networks, including but not limited to Amazon and Chewy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field 
  • 5+ years of experience in paid media strategy and execution, preferably in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or DTC environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of managing media budgets and driving measurable results across platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in media performance reporting and attribution
  • Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Meta & Google Ads, and Excel
  • Hands-On experience with Amazon (Sponsored, DSP, OTT) and Chewy (Onsite and Offsite) Retail Media Networks, experience with other retail media networks a plus. 
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for pets and a drive to make an impact.

Other Details for Consideration

  • Compensation: $110,000-$145,000 plus bonus 
  • Reports to: Director, Performance Marketing 
  • Location: remote but occasional travel required
