Job Summary

In their community, Primal Brand Ambassadors (Demo Team Members) create a positive impact on the life of pets through customer engagement and education. They will strive to positively impact more pets’ lives through education on nutrition, and the introduction of Fresh or Frozen foods into the diet. Our goal is to have as many pets as possible incorporating Primal products into their diet. Team Members work with select local stores to create their own flexible schedule, generally within 12-28 hours a week. While creating this schedule, it will be a Team Member’s goal to visit stores while they are busy, in the hopes to talk to as many pet parents as possible. This typically involves weeknights and weekend shifts.

Hourly Compensation

$21 - $23

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Engage customers to educate about and directly impact the increase in sales of Primal products
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to transport product and marketing material to and from events
  • Build product displays to company specifications and set up kits in stores as needed
  • Set up your display table (refer to program handbook)
  • Proper housekeeping throughout the shift for an organized and clean appearance of the demo area
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to confidently articulate product information and benefits
  • Participation in continued education and training, both in person and virtually
  • Able and willing to store a small bin of demo gear in a clean and dry place: A small folding table, crate, and a supply of product samples and marketing materials
  • Maintain personal supply inventory; utilizing provided electronic supply request forms
  • Ability to manage schedule and organize shifts independently within provided guidance
  • Punctuality and regular attendance for demos and trainings required
  • Arrive on time and check in with the Store Manager or representative
  • Coordinate schedule with provided retailers to determine mutually beneficial times for each store location
  • Respect store staff, property, and policies
  • Accurately record and report customer approaches and sales using electronic reporting software
  • Provide staffing support for local events
  • Communicate with supervisors in a timely manner
  • Clear written and verbal communication is expected
  • Accurately record mileage and any approved expenses using electronic reporting software
  • Submit electronic timecards consistently and in a timely manner
  • A smart phone with access to iOS or Android app store is required
  • You must be able to work effectively independently
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Have a strong love for pets and basic knowledge of animal nutrition.
  • Previous pet retail or sales experience is a bonus, but not required.
  • Desire to interact and work closely with customers.
  • Ability to recognize individual needs of pets and recommend the appropriate Primal products on a case-to-case basis.
  • Access to a computer and basic computer skills are necessary; including the ability to send and receive emails, use electronic forms, and submit electronic time sheets.
  • Team members must be prepared to spend majority of their shift standing.
  • Reliable transportation with the ability to transport product to and from demo locations is necessary.
