Schedule

Monday to Friday. AM shift schedule, starting 4:45am - 1:15pm. Daily or 6th Day overtime is required as needed and is mandatory.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing production work in the facility. Starts, operates, tends, stops, and cleans machines. Assembles finished product. Inspects product to ensure high quality and compliance with company standards and procedures. Must be able to rotate at least every 2 hours at each of the production machines and locations as needed. This role requires regular heavy lift/carry/push/pull of raw materials and boxes of products.

Responsibilities and Duties

Startup and stop equipment.
Assist with production.
Cleans production area.
Sweep, mop, and remove debris.
Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies.
Feed or place items onto equipment for processing.
Measure and pour ingredients.
Ensure conformance to specifications.
Turn valves to regulate the flow of liquids or gas.
Mix ingredients.
Mark parts for identification.
Place equipment on a conveyor belt for further processing.
Scrape waste material from the machine.
Record data.
Load and unload processing equipment.
Package finished products.
Pour materials into machine hopper.
Take instructions from supervisors.
Efficiently and safely move product to the proper area for use following all department and QA procedures.
Sorting, wrapping, packing, repacking as needed. Transfer finished goods pallets to the holding freezer.
Return raw materials, WIPs, or packaging materials to the respective department or location in accordance with the department's procedures for receiving and returning materials.
Proper housekeeping throughout the shift and in all departmental areas.

Qualifications and Skills

Less than high school education; at least 3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide and understand percentages. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement and quantity measurements.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk or stand and must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds without assistance. Additionally, you must be able to lift and or move more than 75 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision. You will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Our GMP Policy states that no nail polish, acrylic nails, false lashes, jewelry, piercings, or cell phones are permitted in the plant. Additionally PPE is required such as hard hats, hair nets, safety glasses, smocks and boots. Are you able to abide by this policy?*

Due to production needs, our Attendance policy does not allow for many unexcused absences.

As we are a busy plant, Overtime is often necessary for us to keep running. When production needs to work overtime it is mandatory. Will you be able to work daily overtime and Saturdays if needed (Full Time only).
Part Time may also require DAILY overtime.*

This position is required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion unassisted. Additionally, you must be able to team lift or lift and/or move 50 pounds or greater with assistance. Will you be able to complete this job function? **
