Summary

Provide support to the Director of HR in maintaining the Human Resources processes Maintains employee files relating to WC, LOA, FMLA, safety, disciplinary actions, and employee relation issues. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compiles and reports Human Resources data.
  • Assists employees with Benefit enrollment and answering benefit-related questions.
  • Completes employment verification requests
  • Maintains employee personnel files including personal change notices, offboarding, and disciplinary documentation.
  • Assists with Employee issues in cooperation with the EHS/HR Manager
  • Compiles data and publishes related reports including turnover, absenteeism, headcount, vacation, overtime, etc.
  • Ensures legal compliance – EEO, AAP, FLSA, etc.
  • Completes Worker’s Compensation Claims, follows up on employee work status, and advises management of updates
  • Tracks and maintains attendance records; prepares and tracks attendance notification documents
  • Serves as the chair of the Safety Committee
  • May assist with payroll processing and training.
  • Manages FMLA/CFRA/ADA/LOA programs.
  • Process EDD correspondence and follow up
  • Oversees Annual Performance review and merit increases
  • Assists with internal audits as needed.
  • Uses initiative to independently perform recurring office work
  • Other Duties as assigned
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications and Skills

  • BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field preferred.
  • 3 or more years in a high growth Production or Manufacturing environment working in Human Resources preferred.
  • California Law knowledge 
  • Able to multi-task and work with multiple interruptions
  • HR certification preferred. 
  • Must be able to deal with confidential materials and information professionally and tactfully.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent written communication skills and solid presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and follow-through to achieve results and meet deadlines to meet the needs of the business.
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. 

Salary range

$65k-$75K Annual Salary
